Yellow garden spider - Argiope aurantia

Family Araneidae - Orb weavers

This picture shows the ziz-zag 'Stabilimentum' in the web which gives it the name writing spider. You can imagine it saying "Some Pig". There are various inconclusive theories on the purpose.
