Non-native, invasive from the Mediterranean

Family Dyderidae: This is the only member of the family in North America.

These spiders live in dark, humid places such as under stones, bark, or flowerpots in the garden. They actively hunt their prey feeding on isopods, which is why they sometimes also are called Sow Bug Hunter or Pill Bug Hunter.
