Biodiversity hunts or "BioBlitzes" take place over a very short period and scientific experts, amateur naturalists, and park staff search for and try to identify all living things within a particular landscape.


Joshua Tree National Park held its second of two 2013 biodiversity hunts at Smithwater Canyon on April 26 & 27. I had the privilege of attending and these photos are my contribution.
